MultiPlus selection campervan

Hi,

Following a setup I am building for a campervan I have a question regarding the selection of the right MultiPlus for my application. [1]

I am considering the MultiPlus C 12/2000/80-30 and the MultiPlus 12/3000/120-16.

As I only have one LiFePO4 battery 12,8V/160Ah – Smart, can I use a Multiplus 12/3000 as the recommend maximum continuous discharge current for this battery is 160A? Or will be input current be limited to 120A?

Thank you.

The 12/3000/120 - the 120 is the maximum charging current when charging from grid / shore power, not the discharging current when the inverter is runnung.
The 12/3000/120 can take ~250A from the battery if it is going at full chat! That battery can supply 320A MAXIMUM for short periods of time, a minute or two maybe.

If you want to use the 12/3000/160 inverter with maximum discharge for long periods of time (like cooking a meal) then you need to add another battery. Otherwise you need to use the 12/2000/80 which will discharge at ~160A maximum which is within the specification for that battery.
