I have programmed my BMV 700 in relay mode "CHGR" and with setting 16 at 55% SOC and relay 17 setting with 85% SOC. However, I notice while monitoring my Venus in the Victron app that the BMV relay always closes when SOC reaches 45% - not the 55% I programmed. What am I missing here? Is there a math difference I am missing?
Hi I cant give you a direct answer re the issue you are having however I would suggest giving the below a try and see if that helps.
To make your life much easier I would suggest that you add a the VE Direct Bluetooth dongle to the BMV700, and then use the Victron Connect app to do the setting changes,
there maybe some other parameter thats not getting changed in the menu system,
Also using the app will update the BMV-700 to the latest firmware as well.
Even if you loaned one and did the changes and the firmware update, thats if you know someone who has one that is
