installed a bmv 712 connected to Victron app and shows the 712 in the device list after selecting the 712 a update screen pops up
but when I hit update nothing happens apps stays on update screen locks up phone .I use the same phone with all my mppt controllers and it works fine including battery sense.
just to be sure I tried the bmv-712 on another phone and same thing happens.
and ideas ? hope not doa.

Just updated my 712 and now it will not pair I had no problems before updating.
I installed the 5.36onto my android and then the problem began. I have gone through the steps Victron has suggested with no positive results.
My phone will find the 712 but will not pair I have used 0000 / 1234 and have not changed those since I bought it.
Any suggestions?

Hi, have you tried 6 zeros? 4 is not right.

6 zeros work. I have the 712 paired but the app will not find it. I have done a search typing in the Smartbmv hq2020tv4qw no luck.
Ideas?
hi, you shouldn’t pair or connect from it from the menus in Android. See step 5 in the trouble shooting section in the VictronConnect manual:
Ps. make sure to start with chapter 11.1; the generic bluetooth trouble shooting chapter.
and if that doesnt help, continue on chapter 11.2
