How to connect Venus GX with Phoenix 5k Inverter?

How to connect a Venus GX to my Phoenix 5k Inverter with firmware xxxx1xx?

What kind of cable is needed?

Standard UTP RJ45 as long as your system conforms to the below requirement.

"The earliest version of the VE.Bus devices which can be connected to the CCGX is 19xx111 or 20xx111, which were released in 2007. VE.Bus firmware 26xxxxx and 27xxxxx are also supported …but 18xxxxx is not."

Use a regular UTP cable, the same type that you would use for computer ethernet connections.
Firmware should be 19xx2yyy / 20xx2yy or 26xx2yy, 3yy, 4yy /27xx2yy, 27xx3yy, 27xx4yy.

18xxyyy firmware will not work.

Thank very much to both answers. I have the 19xx version and now new installed the Venus GX.
