Have 1000watt inverter to fit into an off grid caravan.Investor supplied with an earth lead. Where is the earth lead placed on the caravan ref earthed equipment?

I'm unfamiliar with a 1000W model in the current Victron range Perhaps you have an older model? It's important to know exactly which model you have so that we can advise appropriately.
There are differences in how the earth - neutral reference is derived.

If you contact the manufacturer of your inverter perhaps they'd be willing to advise?
