What size AWG from my 30 amp shore power inlet?

What is the proper size cable from my shore power inlet to my Multiplus 12/3000/120? Is 6/3 overkill?

Why would you wire a 30 amp service any more than 10/3 in an RV? If you want to wire for a 50 amp service to upgrade at a later date the 8/4 is suitable for 50 amps. 6/4 would be used for 55 amps or 50 amps above 60 deg C.

@joeyfandel, that's a bit overkill; standard 30A AC wiring would generally call for 10AWG, but the Multi will accept a maximum 6AWG into the AC input screw terminals, so hey, if that's what you have, no harm. Just make sure it's AC-rated wire!
