Enabling Grid-Charging without ESS ?

Hi,

Running Multiplus II GX with Lithium storage in w/Africa where the Grid is most unreliable. I am trying to configure veConfiguration such as advised below in the manuals but I am unable to figure out which settings to use. I had expected just a box to check to enable Grid-Charging but apparently, there is more to it than that.

Question: Could this be done without enabling ESS?

I am regularly getting Low Battery alerts even when the Grid is available - hopefully someone could have a look at the screenshots below and point out whether the cut-off voltages are properly configured.

Will grateful for any pointers!

Thanks in advance!

Excerpt from Victron manual

In locations where grid failure is common - or even a daily occurrence - you might choose to use just 20% of battery capacity and save 80% for the next grid failure. African countries for example.

Keep batteries 100% charged:

ESS can also be configured to keep the batteries fully charged. Utility grid failure is then the only time battery power is used - as a backup.

Once the grid is restored, the batteries will be recharged either from the grid or from solar panels - when available.
