DC cable sizes and lengths for MultiPlus ll -120v

I have a Victron MultiPlus ll -120V.

Its a 24v/3000/70.

The Victron manual specification states for DC cable lengths that are 0 - 5m, use AWG 1/0. For 5-10m use 2 X AWG 1/0.

My question is, does 0 - 5 meters mean the total length combining the positive and negative? which will be 2.5 meters each (+ and -)?

Or 5 meters for the positive and another 5 meters for the negative?
