EVCS - power not controllable during 1P charging

Hi everyone and @Lucian Popescu (Victron Energy Staff) !

Since 30 minutes ago my EVCS (FW1.28) is showing a strange behaviour. Up to 2 hours ago everything was working normal. But when I just started charging again, the following issue appeared:

I wanted to change with 1p / 16A in manual mode. Current limit is set to 8A-16A. But no matter which charge current I select, the car charges only with a power of 2.05 kW (appr. 9A). I tried already the following measures:

- Reset EVCS by power supply: No help

- Change charging cable to EV: No help

- Down-date to FW1.27: No help.

- Auto Mode instead of manual mod: No help, the EVCS wants to go up to 16A due to PV excess, but actual power remains at 2.05 kW

- Changed power supply from 1P to 3P: Power adjustment also only possible up to 9A (appr.6.1 kW)

Anybody experienced this issue already an has a solution?

Here's an image of the VRM screen, EVCS is connected to L2, power calibration set to 0.89, thus the consumption of 1960W is reasonable to the EVCS measurement of 2087. Hower the EVCS shows it is set to 14A, which would result in a power of 3.200W...

In my opinion, that’s not something EVCS related. Most probably the vehicle is not accepting more power. The way evcs is controlling the output power is pretty simple. And if you see on the evcs that output power is 16A, that’s true.

As always, thank you so much for the quick reply!

After the a short drive to the grocery store (i.e. charging interruption) everything is back to normal operation.

Most strange, but anyways...1713010715952.png

:) I was expecting that. I'm glad the problem, was solved, and sorry for spending all that time for nothing.
