Battery protect

Hi all. I have been putting together this layout for my sons wide beam boat. It is based on diagrams supplied by the retailer. I have however added a battery protect in the run up to the DC fuses. Ignore the small black wire position as is just tucked up out of the way. My question is am I able to extend the small wire and include a 0.3A fuse, connecting it to the negative of the Lynx power in which is effectively the battery negative terminal? I am also required to add a wire to the inverter remote if I have read the instructions correctly? What mode do I set the battery protect to as the Renogy batteries have internal BMS so not mode C. A (alarm or LED) or B (relay) for the feed to the Multiplus remote connector?img-3868.jpeg
