Multi RS SoC and Voltage different to SmartShunt

Multi RS 450/100 (firmware V1.15) , SmartShunt (V4.14) , Cerbo-S GX (V 2.88) and self managed 3 x Powerplus 4.0 batts.

State of charge and battery voltage reported on the Touch 50 is often very different to that reported on Smarshunt and via Cerbo.

System was installed in December and but router and VRM installed today to trouble shoot this issue. (VRM 390362).

Multi-RS is connected to CerboS via CAN ports with terminator. System SoC drops from 100% to 5% instantly. System Batt Voltage varies 4 to 5 volts lower than the SmartShunt voltage. Smartshunt V appears to be more correct.

(System voltage is reported on Touch50 so homeowner is confused, plus, this V is setting off low batt alarms)

This issue seems to manifest mostly during sunset when solar input is diminishing.

The issue doesnt seem to occur after sunset. Keen to know if this has been seen as I'm about to start seeking psychological assistance.

(would changing from CAN connection to VE Direct between Multi RS and Cerbo help?) @Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager)

Verify with a good meter which is correct and set that to the system battery monitor.

The dynamic cut off might have something to do with the low battery warnings. Which system component is sending the warning?

The ve direct on the Multi RS is not for communication to the cerbo. See the manual.

Extra to my notes above we believe that the reported batt volts from the SmartShunt and the Multi RS are now aligned. However, we think that every few days, the reported batt voltage is a couple of volts lower than the actual batt voltage. We havent yet been to site to check this as the site is remote and the homeowner does not have necessary skills nor multimeter to measure batt v.

Keen to know if anyone has experienced similar issues.
