Battery Protect Emergency Override

The diagram for the Cyrix-Li-Load shows an emergency override switch. Is there a way to do the same on a Smart BP-100?

Hi from the USA, @Expozen. If your BP-100 is installed with a 100 amp fuse to the stud marked "battery"...that's the rating you'd want for a "single pole single throw" DC rated switch...and that's also what your wires to the SPST switch would need to carry. If you can't find a switch with the right contact rating, you could use a DC circuit breaker which also works like a SPST switch.

Wire from one side of the switch to the "battery" stud & from the other side of the switch to the stud marked "load". This puts your manual on-off switch in parallel to the BP-100 which is also an on-off switch controlled by logic.

Be sure to leave yourself a reminder: if you ever turn "on" your manual bypass switch, that means the "Battery Protect" cannot protect the battery. A manual switch that also turns on a low wattage indicator lamp might be a nice touch.
