Fronius symo advanced slave not showing up in cerbo

Hello!

I’m having difficulties getting communication between a Fronius slave and my cerbo.

The master and slave show up in Fronius solar web, with total power production etc. Modbus tcp enabled on both units. Units numbered 01 and 02.

I connect the master Fronius to a switch, then I daisy chain the two units with terminations in both ends.

Only the master shows up in the cerbo. I’ve read the article (Victron Fronius PV) about setting ip addresses manually in the cerbo, is this absolutely necessary in order to get this to work? I find the article quite confusing for a simple electrician.

Is it possible to connect both Fronius inverters to the same switch as the cerbo and set the master/slave switch on the datamanager card?

I solved this by connecting both Fronius inverters to the same switch as the cerbo and setting “master” in both dataloggers.

They show up as two different units in cerbo/vrm, but total production is shown in pages.

Hi

I have the same issue, cerbo gx don'd reconigze new symo advanced. It's show as Unknow inverter

I can't configure this new symo 20 Advanced as Multiphase, therefore console show erroneus power per phase.

Datamanager recognize all slaves correctly.

Try to configure SunSpec support on the PV-inverter. Log into the Fronius web interface. Go to the Modbus tab Set Data export via Modbus to tcp. set Sunspec Model Type to int + SF
