Programming Cerbo GX relay 1

Is it possible to program the GX on Relay 1 for generator start for both soc and time of day? I want to be able to have the generator kick on during cloudy/partly cloudy days if the SOC is a certain percentage by say…2pm. It’s seems you can do one or the other but not both.

For more specialised programming look into Venus is large and node red.

Bonjour, oui c'est tout à fait possible , quand vous êtes dans le menu de réglage du démarrage générateur il suffit de régler les différentes conditions d'allumage (ne pas oublier de régler les heures de repos).

Auto start conditions are not based on time of day, except for "quiet time" which is intended to minimize or eliminate run time during the night, presumably so the noise from the generator won't wake you or your neighbors.

Quiet time could be programmed for an alternate time period if you aren't worried about generator noise during the night. For example you could set quiet time from 10 PM until 2 PM the next day. Your SOC start threshold for quiet time would be set low enough you'd normally not start the generator, then from 2 PM to 10 PM, the SOC start threshold could be set high enough to start the generator if solar production had not been sufficient.

GuiMods provides a way to start the generator manually and stop when all automatic run conditions are satisfied.

As Alexandra says, much more is possible with Node Red. You could use it to change the SOC threshold or enable/disable the SOC condition based on time of day and/or other factors such as solar production, weather or other external factors. Node Red runs on a separate computer so fitting the computer with additional sensors or gathering information from the internet would be relatively easy.

Additional time periods for auto start conditions would make a good enhancement to the stock code.

I did look into Node-Red and created a flow to suit my needs. Thank you!
