32 volt house bank and want to add solar

I have a Hatteras motor yacht with a 32 volt bank consisting of 8 Trojan 8 volt batteries. I would like to add 4 200 watt solar panels and connect to a Victron 150/45 MPPT controller. The standard options are 12/24/36 volts. Can that be overwritten to accomodate my 32 volt bank without damaging the batteries?

What voltages do you need for charging?
Take a look at the demo library in VictronConnect to see how low you can set the voltages in 36V mode (or how high in 24V mode).

That are lead batteries?
- 8V means 4 cells
- you have 4 batteries in series for 32V nominal voltage -> 16 cells
- a normal 12V battery has 6 cells and a charging voltage of around 14,4V
- 14,4V / 6 cells = 2,4V x 16 cells = 38,4V absorption voltage

Should be possible with the MPPT set to 36V mode.

Thanks Matthias ! So do you think I should split the 4 200 watt panels into 2 arrays in series? Panels have 31.05 VOC / 8.02 amps or just run all 4 in series
