Overriding ESS during Communication loss

Hi All

I hope everyone is good and well in this community.

I hope there is an expert out there that can help me (thank you in advance):

My setup - MPII - Lifepo4 / Cerbo GX / Solar arrays (small ~1kw).

I am using ESS to charge batteries when there isn't a lot sunshine and when electricity rates are low. I have had instances when there is "Communication" loss/errors and I have tried to reboot everything but, the communication loss/errors did not clear.

So when the loss/errors occur, I am unable to set ESS to charge at a cheap electric rate. I have tried to use the front rocker switch to get the MPII to Charge Batteries but, nothing happens.

Is there a way that I can override ESS and get the MPII to charge the batteries and also to act as Passthrough? (Until the Comms come back again - this could be hours)

Many thanks again...

Trung

Communication loss with what? The energy meter the service provider meter?

You can in the GX in ESS just manually set keep batteries charged, or set a scheduled charge window in the cheap tariff times.

Hi there

I have lost Comms and as such, I am unable to get onto VRM to set charging schedules.

Is there a way I can manually charge the batteries? As a manual override to ESS for example.

Many thanks

Yes.

Menu - Settings- ESS- Mode (keep batteries charged)

Scheduled charge...

Menu - settings - ESS - scheduled charge levels - schedule X .... enable

Set what days

start time

Next one people get wrong - duration of charge or

Stop on soc

There are 5 different schedules that can be set there.
