Blue Smart 12|30|30 - Operating Temperature

I have a Blue Smart 12|30|30 which is charging one battery, a single 100amp Renogy LifePO4.

Currently the charger is putting out 28.8amps at 14.29v.

The battery charger, as read using a laser temperature gauge, reads up to about 45 degrees centigrade. Is this normal operating temperature? (after about 30mins of bulk charging).

Yes, these chargers get quite warm at full power.

The specs in the manual show this to be within an acceptable range and we'll get some automatic derating as it goes above 40 deg C.

Many thanks for the answer. I was worried that it may have been due to resistance.
