BMV-712 and 75/15 smart solar controllers setup

BMV-712 and 75/15 smart solar controllers setup - First we installed two controllers, each hooked up to its own single solar panel to charge three 8D 240 amp hour batteries wired in parallel. Only one solar panel and controller showed amps on iphone app – and batteries did charge. In an attempt to get the other controller to connect correctly to batteries and contribute to the charge, we then added a BMV-712 battery monitor to the setup.

We networked the lot into one network – or so we thought. The non-charging controller/panel set still not showing watts or charging. Also that controller does not recognize the battery monitor – on the app it says add battery monitor to the network (although that controller does see the network). The other controller/panel continues to work and it does show up on network with battery monitor.

We were wondering if each controller needs to be a network of its own and then hook both onto battery monitor making it a single network. Or should the controllers be connected one at a time to the battery monitor.

Can someone please help us determine what is wrong with this setup? WE have no idea how to proceed from here.

Hi @GrahamB,

I think there might be a problem with one of your MPPT
I would advise you to contact a Victron dealer to help you with this.
if you do not know who your dealer is, please visit: https://professional.victronenergy.com/support/

Multiple MPPTs can be connected to one BMV for voltage en temperature information.

best regards
