MultiRS Solar scheduled charging using Node Red

As soon as from 1.12 firmware there is an option for ESS External Control, Im wondering if I can implement the following scenario: charge battery during night time only (except cases when SoC is low). Thats what's my plan:

1. Switch MultiRS Mode to ESS External Control

2. Using integrated Node set ESS State to "10 - Optimized mode w/o BatteryLife: self consumption, SoC at or above minimum SoC"

3. When SoC is down less than 30% change ESS State to "12 - Optimized mode w/o BatteryLife: recharging, SoC dropped by 5% or more below minimum SoC"

4. As soon as night time came (after 23:00 till 7:00) change ESS state to "9 - 'Keep batteries charged' mode is enabled" until full charge

5. As charge is full change it State back to 10.

Is it a good idea overall? Will it work?

Looks like I cannot control Muiltu RS usign Node Red as it changes Cerbo GX settings on ESS, not MultiRS

Hi, that might be possible some day; but not now.

The External control option for the RS is not usable yet; since there is no support for it in Venus OS; to pass it through to Node-RED (or anywhere else).

Any estimations/guestimations? :)

Bought MultiRS as there was no other options for me at that time (live in Ukraine, there was a hot season on the market last autumn for investors) + lack of knowledge about invertors overall from my side. I understand that it's might be better to change to MultiPlus-2 or Quattro to have this staff out of the box

And another related question: I see I can change invertor mode using node red, switch it between ON/Off/Charger/Inverter. Might it be the option for scheduled charging/possible workaround? if yes, then I can set it to "Inverter" (but I dont know what will happen if more power is needed then battery can provide)? I see it like:

1. More than 30% SoC than mode = Inverter
2. Less than 30% SoC or time between 23:00<>7:00 than mode = on
But in this case I worry than in case of more than 5kW is requested than inverter can go to error mode. Or it will provide power that required on top from grid?

For guestimation: I think in beta in 2 or 3 months maximum.
