multiplus shut down when ve bus connect to ve bus on cerbo gx

when connecting RJ45 cable from Cerbo GX ( ve bus port ) to multiplus ve bus the inverter shuts down . termination plug is in place on the multiplus . unplug the cable and mulitiplus turns back on.

What is wrong

Terminator is for VE.CAN connections, not VE.BUS. You do not use the terminators with the VE.Bus connection.

In the cerbo, can you see the inverter? If so, select it, select advanced and then select these two options:

Do you have MK3-USB? might be worth updating the firmware.

on a ve.bus network there should be NO termination plugs, please remove these. they are for can bus only.

the ve.bus on the multiplus connection goes directly to the ve.bus connection on the cerbo ONLY

Make sure you didn't inadvertently plug the RJ-45 into the Ethernet jack closer to the top of the Cerbo. It is unfortunately located right above the two ve.bus ports. The silk screen on the top can be misleading.
