Will the EV Charger reduce power output based on the inverter load?

Hi everyone,

Does the EV charger take into account the maximum load of the inverter feeding the charger? It would be great if the EV charger would automatically reduce its power output if the AC load on my Multiplus II goes above a certain threshold.

The idea is to never overload the inverter, and cause a shutdown.

Thanks!
Barthold

Hi, not yet, it will be added. Not sure if we can be fast enough, there are 2–3 seconds necessary to reduce the power when a load is detected. But we shall see.

hi Lucian! That is great news. 2-3 seconds should be fine, given that the inverter can handle temporary peak loads of almost double of its rated load, for up to 2 minutes (depending on a bunch of factors of course). So seems the 2-3 seconds lag time would not be a problem?

Any idea when you'll implement this?

Thanks!!
