Multiplus 12/500 not charging to 100% SOC

84967ca4-d000-439d-afd9-765b2418c90f.jpegHi,

I have a 12/500 Multiplus with 2 105ah lead-acid batteries. With all the loadshedding, the batteries are not returning to 100% SOC.

I suspect something is off with my settings as the batteries are only at 90% even at absorption charge with zero amps going to the batteries.

Why is this happening? Does somebody know what the issue may be?

You are connected to your multi via a MK3 usb cable?

Click on the settings cog and post screenshots of all 5 tabs please.

Yes, that’s correct

I am not with the multi now. Any specific setting that you’d like to see? Hopefully I can remember what it was.

Sorry.

That's good. The Smart Networking symbol threw me for a few moments.

All 5 tabs plz.

General, charger, and AC input control have relevant settings.

The inverter and grid tabs optional. (but might be able to improve settings).

Okay, here are screenshots of the actual settings. Apologies @klim8skeptic , the Mulit is at my parents' place.

@Massyn Starting from the top,

General tab.

Charge Efficiency should be set to 0.85 Batteries are not 100% efficient when accepting charge. Light discharges can result in efficiency below 80%. The battery monitor in the Multi will not be accurate if you have any DC charging sources, eg solar mppt.

Set AC input current limit to 16A

Grid tab.

If your experiencing brown outs and the multi is struggling to keep loads running during the change over from grid, adjust the AC low volt disconnect, and the AC low volt reconnect up a bit.

Inverter tab.

I would disable Low SOC shut-down. SOC does not always match batt volts under load.

I would set DC input low-shutdown to 10.5v

I would set DC input low restart to 11.2v

I would set DC input low pre-alarm to 11.2v

Charger tab.

I would turn off storage mode

AC input control.

All seem good here.
