Negative -48 volt systems. Can we use a BMV-700 for genset controls?

We are looking to use the BMV-700 to control our generator at our telecommunications sites. Our sites are -48. Positive is return. Not sure if this can work but wanted to confirm with you guys. We are running sites off grid and need to turn on genset with a SOC control. Using Large 100Ah Lithium Cadenza battery unit. Cannot use Voltage control with the lithium so looking for a good SOC control. We use SMA units for other systems with genset and SOC built into the Inverter. Looking for a stand alone small genset controller that uses SOC. Thanks

@turbotim

You can use the relay on the BMV 700 (it is programmable) to signal something based on SOC to get the generator to start.

Thanks for the reply. All the genset needs is a NO signal and looks like the BMV-700 has one relay output that can be tied to SOC. From the manual - 7.3. Relay settings The battery monitor is equipped with a programmable relay. These settings are used to program the function of the relay. The relay settings are disabled by default (except the State of Charge (SoC) relay setting). To enable, a relay setting do the following..
The commercial gensets we use are a two wire start setup.
