Peak power of inverter

I have been told by my supplier that the peak power is only applicable when the source is from the grid and not the batteries. This does not sound correct. I assume the peak power is applicable whether you are drawing from the grid or batteries.

The peak power is in the datasheets, I don't know for sure about normal 'grid support' mode, but in ESS mode the peak power is lower than when on battery only mode.

The inverter makes power, up to a "peak," and with PowerAssist it can also pass through grid power. So the supportable load is usually largest when grid connected.
