Multiplus II never goes on float mode

Hello,

In my installation, the Victron Multiplus never goes on float mode charging the US3000C and the current consumption is high.

You’ll find the details in the pdf attached. In summary :

  1. Why the Multiplus full system never goes on “Float” mode?

  • Why the Multiplus does not work the same on battery 1 only and on battery 2 only?

  • Why the Multiplus goes on “Float” only with battery 2? It seems that the system is running properly with battery 2 only.

  • Why we have different information in the line LMRQ: « External Control » or « State of charge »?

  1. Why the grid consumption is so high 1.2-1.7 Kwh per 24 h, with zero load?

  1. What are the charging parameters automatically negotiated between the Multiplus and the Pylontech batteries BMS via the BUS-Can?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

a Litium battery need no float, is diffrent to lead acid batterys. If litium is loaded it is fully charged and loos only a very little of its power. The older lead acid batterys start discharge in the moment you stop charge. You can not store a lead battery for 6 month and start a motor than. Next is why you limit to 30A? if you have 2 Pylon you can xharge with 50. One pylon must be the master and one the slave, set the pins correct. And if the load shows after a few hours lower Voltage it is not important, the power is in battery. You have a Master slave problem.

Regards
