Adding 2nd MPPT to EasySolar II GX

I would like to add another SmartSolar MPPT to ESIIGX, but its GX device has only 1 VE.Direct port (already used for SmartShunt).

Can this be done somehow?

How about the USB port?

SmartSolar MPPTs dont have usb ports. Edit: You are talking about this cable - The VE. Direct to USB interface cable?


I see low end ones have only ve.direct connectivity (Data communication port - VE.Direct https://www.victronenergy.si/upload/documents/Datasheet-SmartSolar-charge-controller-MPPT-150-35-&-150-45-EN.pdf).

Can 150/35 mppt be joined in a bluetooth network with ESIIGXs 250/70-Tr MPPT, so it would send data readings to it and they would be forwarded to gx device?

Use ve.direct to USB cable to the GX. That's the only way to extend it.

Bluetooth should not be used when a GX is in use.

Alternatively you can go for a larger, more expensive CAN MPPT, but USB is a pretty common way of expanding ports.
