220a Battery protect only worked once

I installed the BP with program 8a.

It worked once only shutting off at 12v and restarting at 13v but now let's the batteries go below 12v without cutting off.

Do I need to reset every time it activates?

What is connected to the output of the BP?

Just the power feed to my RV including inverter

Just the feed into my RV including inverter and back up generator.

The BP is not designed for reverse current and you should not connect an inverter directly to it, that can damage the BP.
