Hello. I couldn't really find anything on whether a smartshunt is required if a smart blue charger is used to charge the battery for either lithium or lead acid.
Hello. I couldn't really find anything on whether a smartshunt is required if a smart blue charger is used to charge the battery for either lithium or lead acid.
The "Smart"Blue battery charger allows you to configure the charger parameters for battery chemistry and see voltage/current going into the battery.
A SmartShunt or BMV is only required if you want to monitor/log energy drawn from the battery, state of charge, etc. Not required for basic operation of a charging system.
Additional resources still need to be added for this topic
