cerbo ignores AC loads when DVCC used

Hi, I have a problem with DVCC.

Victron manual says:

Current drawn from the system by the inverter/charger is compensated for. For example, if 10A is drawn to power AC loads, and the limit is 50A, the system will allow the solar chargers to charge with a maximum of 60 Amps.

My problem is that the compensation function does not work. If I set a limit to 10A and AC Load is 20A, my MPPT still give only 10A and never more.

What battery are you using? If it is a managed battery, the CAN BMS will override any setting and the lower of the two is used.

Have you set current limits on the MPPT's by any chance?

I have hoppecke lead batteries. No BMS.


Current limit on MPPT is active. 20A+40A

Ok. And the mppts are can/ve connected and are reported as externally controlled on the gx?

And it behaves like this at a lower SOC as well?

Your screenshot shows the battery is full.

One MPPT is reported as externally controlled, second is not externaly controlled. My guess is that the first one is master to second one.


I did not try it at SOC below 100. But since it instantly starts depleting the battery, it would be below 100 very fast

Tested on SOC 75, behaves the same
