Power supply Tank 140 GX

Hello, is it possible to connect the power supply from the 24V output of channels 3 and 4 to the Vin and thus supply both channels 1 and 2?


Background:

I have 3 Votronik sensors that I want to connect to the Tank140 GX.

Since I don't have any board voltage where the Tank140 was installed, I would have to relocate it first.

Since a "bridge" on the device is much easier.


Whats your opinion?

You need to find out the current draw of the sensor and check that against the max supply current of the Tank 140. The manual says that the output of channels 3 & 4 have 20mA fuses in them so you do not have much power to spare. Post details of your senders.

I have 2 Votronic sensors (tank electrode 15-50 K)


Technical specifications:

Operating voltage: 12 V/24 V-DC battery voltage (from the display)

Operating voltage range: 7...32 V

Current consumption: 4...7 mA

Signal output 0…100%: 0…2.2 V

Measuring method: capacitive, suitable for short-term and continuous operation

Tank height, adjustable: 12…24 cm, 15…50 cm

Mounting hole: 38 mm or PG 29 thread

Flange diameter: 46.5 mm

Length of connection cable: 75 cm



and 1 Votronic sensor (tank electrode 20 K-WC)

Lt. According to the data sheet, all 3 have a current consumption of 4-7mA.



Now I took the power supply from channel 4 (pin 24V) and put it on Ext. Power (pin Vin).

Channel 1 - 3 are occupied by the sensors.


This means that channels 1 and 2 in total have a current consumption of between 8-14mA. So it's below the 20mA of the channel 4 fuse.
