I am installing this KUS sender (tested and works with the Cerbo GX on my bench) in a tank for my van. How do I spec the wire gauge for a 25' run?
The sender has 18 gauge leads but I am not sure how much of a factor wire resistance is for a resistive sensor.
I have used a similar sensor, with a 10m run, and I used 2.5mm^2 cable. I know it is overkill but had it lighting around. Because it's not a high current part you can probably get away with much thinner wire. But this you could test on your bench as well.
18 gauge wire should be fine. You can manually calibrate the sensor to take into account any additional cable resistance.
