48V Quattro 5kVA 120 or 230 VAC -Battery Circuit Breaker Sizing

Can we assume when installing a 48V Quattro 5kVA 120 or 230 VAC config, a 200ADC Battery Circuit Breaker be used when installed close to the Inverter/Charger? The manual states a 200A fuse presumably placed close to the battery.

A 200A circuit breaker will be fine for that Quattro.
But please bear in mind that the circuit breaker is to protect the cables, ensure that your battery cables are rated for the 200A continuous current. Close to the battery is the best place.
Also ensure that the battery bank can provide enough short circuit current to open the circuit breaker if a short circuit fault occurs.

I would personally use a 125A 'slow' breaker, this is capable of 6kW continuous at 48 volts (50mm2 cable).

Only when you plan on overloading the inverter for long times you'd need a bigger breaker.

Other option: 2x 63A breaker so you can use two thinner cables (at least 2x 25mm2). Of course you can also use 2x100A with two cables (cables at least 35mm2 for 100A)
