CCGX USB connectors

On the back of the CCGX are two type A female sockets and a type B female socket. Manual picture says the type B isn't used and it's not mentioned.

Does anyone know what the type B is for and can I use it?

I believe that that port was originally designed to provide computer connection as to enable control/monitoring/firmware upgrade.

Due to technical issues the functuality was dropped.

Thanks. The port seems to be dead/disconnected.

Yes, the USB-B Port was never in use.

It was planned for something but that never happened.
