Installing BlueSolar 12/24V/30A together with the 230 V battery charger supplied in my camper

Hello friends,

I decided to install a PV generator in my camper, mainly for charging the 12 V service battery, which at now is charged by the external 230 V socket or by the alternator. I want to keep the original 230 V charger ready for use, just in the case I should need it.

Therefore I ask you if it is possible to simply connect the BlueSolar 12/24V/30A to the battery, where the 230 V charger is just connected, or I have e.g. to place a relay that automatically isolates the PV panel when the external 230 V is provided, or other solution that you could suggest.

Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can connect the output of the MPPT to the same place as the existing 230V charger without using a relay.
