VE.Bus BMS with Cerbo

Can i interface a VE.Bus BMS directly with a Cerbo? I had assumed that a Multiplus was required but i've been looking at the Multiplus 12V 500VA which only has a single VE.Bus BMS port with a comment about using an RJ45 splitter to interface with a GX device. This would suggest to me that the BMS could talk directly to the Cerbo

If you have a GX device it will be the controller in your setup, and then you connect the BMS to that. So yes you can connect it directly.

So I have my Cerbo connected to the VE.Bus BMS but i'm not seeing anything within VRM or on the Cerbo itself. I dont know what data i was expecting but i thought at the very least it would report if charge or load disconnect had been activated (cell data would be nice but i dont think that is likely)
