Some comments about an EasySolar-II

I broke the bank and I bought an EasySolar-II GX, 48V / 5kVA with a 250 V / 100A SmartSolar charge controller.

To my dissapointment, the SmartSolar charge controller would not start. Eventually, I fixed it, but I had to take the cover off and poke it with a screwdriver.
Can anyone guess, from the attached image, why it would not start? :D

My second concern is the H01N2-D, 25 sq.mm cable used for connection to the PV input.
This is typical electric arc welding cable with a voltage rating of 100V AC / 150 V DC, but it is used on a charger that can accept up to 250V input.

The small red wire at the 2-pin plug have to be at the H (left) contact not the L (right) contact.

There was a batch of 400ish units manufactured with that miswiring.

I didn't notice that until reading your comment. tunnel rush fnf It is due to a manufacturing defect.

Another thing I noticed: this 4kW / 5 kVA inverter draws only 20W at no-load. That is quite impressive.

And there was no more money for a reasonable Victron VE.Direct cable because the bank went bankrupt.
