SmartShunt - bit annoying innit.

I'm just so tired of this:

Every few days. You have to power it off and back on.
Which highlights the other firmware Feature: if you reboot it, it remembers everything except SOC. So you have to synchronise it to 100%, then guesstimate the SOC, and keep guesstimating it until you get it to a reasonable level... after which... it hangs again and you have to restart the process.

This happens mainly if you use the PC app, and leave it connected. The phone app disconnects by itself, so it does not seem to have the problem... but then the Trends section resets...

Could we please have a firmware update that fixes it?

5.51 on PC (Linux appimage) , 5.52 on phone.

Ii really looks like the fault is not with the app, though, rather with the firmware on the shunt itself. Also the SOC "amnesia" bit.

Hi,

New firmware for the internal bluetooth dongle that should solve this is included in VictronConnect v5.52, but it is not offered as mandatory update. When you go into the product info page (via settings and then the three dots in the upper right), You can click on update right next to the firmware version of the Bluetooth Interface (you may need to scroll down a bit to see this).

In later VictronConnect versions, this is update for the bluetooth dongle is mandatory.
