How to activate package manager on Cerbo GX without display

Hi there,

I tried to install the setup script for GUI mods.

reboot the GX device TWICE - allowing the system to display the GUI each time
after the second reboot, you should find the Package Manager menus
at the bottom of the Settings menu

I did two reboots, buth there is no package manager menu.

Because I do not have a display connected to the Cerbo GX I did the reboot over the remote website of the Cerbo GX.

Firmware is V2.84

Any ideas?

You should be downloading the venus-data.tgz file from the repo and placing that on a USB flash drive without unzipping or expanding the archive. On a Mac, the uncompress may happen automatically. You'd need to turn off Open "safe" files after downloading in Safari preferences (bottom of General tab)

If you have access to the command line, the logs may provide a clue:

tail -40 /data/log/SetupHelper| | tai64nlocal

tail -40 /data/log/PackageManager/current | tai64nlocal
