My BMV-712 Smart has never worked from the day it was installed (by others) when it comes to telling me what my SOC is. I have two 100Ah Li ion batteries connected in my car which is what the BMV should be reading for me. After we start at 100% and use the car fridge and other accessories the batteries decrease and the SOC gets lower, but then as I drive around and the batteries recharge to 100% from the alternator the SOC continues to drop and drop and drop due to whatever accessories I have running. Why can my BMV not recognise that the car batteries have been fully recharged and show me 100% SOC again ? Isn't that the whole point of the BMV ? Is it just a setting that needs changing or has the auto-electrician wired it wrong ?
Screenshots of the settings are shown below.
