IP22 wiring connection to Smart Shunt or Negative Terminal

I have the Victron 500a Smart Shunt networked with a 100/30 MPPT. I purchased an IP22 and cannot find information on connecting to system.

Do I connect the negative to the shunt or the negative battery terminal and if shunt, which side?

Hi @Dennis Rothang,

the negative of the IP22 goes to the load side of the shunt.

You need to connect it to the load side of the shunt. This way you will measure the current being pushed into the battery. All load and charge sources should be on the load side. Only connection on the battery side of teh shunt should be the battery.
