I am setting up an off grid solar system with two smart solar 250/70 charge controllers and a 8kva Quattro

I am setting up an off grid solar system with two smart solar 250/70 charge controllers and a 8kva Quattro connected through a Cerbo GX with touch screen.

My problem is that I cannot connect to the Quattro, the lan cables are all plugged into the ve:can slots. I also do not see the ECO lithium battery bank % OR soc on the Touch screen.

While the Quattro is turned off the touch screen indicates the smart controllers and there watts' and charge current going to the battery., but as soon as the Quattro is turned on the Charge controllers disappear

Any suggestions?

thanks

Hi @rayggpe

By "lan cables" I guess you mean RJ45. There is indeed a RJ45 LAN (internet) port on the Cerbo, which you may not be using. RJ45 is used too for VE.Can, presumably the mppts.

Then there's the RJ45 used for the Quattro, but it's for the VE.Bus protocol. And it's not any type of CAN at all!

Check all are connected correctly.. https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/Cerbo_GX/en/installation.html

For your battery you may need to confer with it's supplier. Victron have published for a number of batt brands, but this is for the batt maker to advise. There may be clues as to what's involved here.. https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:start
