USB MK3 FOR old multi with firmware 1918141c

Hi guys.

Am I reading it right that even my multis are old (have been in the boxes since 2012..) I should buy MK3 USB and not the old MK2?

My firmware is 1918141c.

I also understand that I cannot use Connect but should use Configure?

Pls advise, dont want to buy sth that is not compatible..

Thanks!

This is what I use as a general rule of thumb, it was recommended to me by my local Victron Dealer:

If a multi or Pheonix inverter or inverter charger has the red picture of a bird on the front (I think that's a Pheonix?), use a MK2 or MK2.1 usb and VE Configure.

Later models had a horizontal red stripe across the front cover and you can use either MK2 or MK3 usb dongle.

The latest models have an orange horizontal stripe across the front cover and require the MK3 usb.

Hope this helps somewhat
