get warranty without retail receipt?

I had an issue with the DCDC charger, so I filled out the online form on the Victron support page, and it located the retail company and its details. I contacted them, but they said I need to have the original receipt as proof of purchase. However, the device was given to me, and I have no idea where to find it, for some reason.

Is there any other way to obtain warranty service? Please let me know if anyone else in this forum has encountered this situation. Thanks in advance.

You don't need to have the receipt. The warranty is bonded to the serial number not to the person who bought the unit.

The distributor should know that.

The charger was purchased from Jaycar in Australia, and when I contacted them to explain my situation, I was informed that I needed the receipt. Although I mentioned that I would contact Victron directly, I was told that nothing would change the situation. It appears they are not a distributor but simply a reseller. Could you please provide me with the contact details of a Victron distributor in Sydney, Australia, from whom I can obtain warranty service? Thank you for your answer.

I filled out the online support request form about 6 days ago, but none of the Jaycar staff have contacted me yet.

What will happen if they continue to ignore the service request? Recently, I received an email from Victron asking for my feedback. I clicked on "not happy" and left a comment. Will Victron take any further steps to resolve the issue?
