Enphase PV system doesn't deliver power when offgrid

System: Multiplus II GX 5000/70 + Pylontech US5000

Software: v3.30~13, ESS assistant configured (see screenshots below)

Connections: grid on AC IN1, consumers and Enphase system on AC OUT1

Grid: the Netherlands (EN50549-1:2019), configured in both Enphase/Victron

As soon as the grid is disconnected, the Enphase system stops delivering power. It tries to send a bit of power (50-100 Watt, see the graph below), but it turns off each time.

The graph starts and ends with grid power on. The test was deliberately with only some solar power (~300 Watt), but with more solar power, the same problem occurs.

The Enphase system is fed with 230 Volt and 50 Hz by the Victron (measured with an SDM120 energy meter), so everything is seemingly fine.

It was suggested to change the grid profile of the Enphase system to one of the GB profiles because it was said to tolerate a less perfect sine wave, but that didn't help to solve the problem.

I've checked the settings already many times, but so far, I haven't found a solution. So, any suggestions are welcome.

Have you tried with production GX code and not the beta?

I would eliminate that as contributing.

Are you sure, you want to restart the PV charging if the DC Voltage goes under 40V?

Looks VERY LOW

That's in the case of overvoltage only, as far as I understand, but I'll try other values anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried 51 volt, but it doesn't resolve the problem, unfortunately.

You have the wrong Setup parameters in the frequencies shifting. I have at the moment nothing for netherland but look at the other table setup for other countries and change you frequencies.

The frequencies are correct for the Netherlands, and in fact, I tried to change the frequencies already (not all combinations).

The frequency fed to Enphase is 50 Hz, though.

i think your using the wrong gridcode, should be:

not related but also 1 us5000 on a multiplus 5000 is to small, you need at least 2

The correct grid code for the Netherlands is EN50549-1. It wouldn't be compliant to use something else, but I can try, of course.

About the battery: this is a small system to start with. It will probably be extended if everything works as expected.

been a while since i set my 3phase system up, german gridcode was the advice to use back then

Also tried without success:

Disabled Loss-Of-Main detection via VEConfigure
Switched to no export grid profile via Enphase Enlighten

Miraculously, it started working, with the same setup, although a ferrite ring was added. Perhaps due to a firmware update of the microinverters?

Good to hear its working now! Hopefully no other issue’s because V3.40~2 is still a beta
