Multiplus II with Colour Control X and MMPT Setup

Morning. I'm new to the Victron world. I will be installing the following components.

Multiplus II 48/3000/35-32

BlueSolar MPPT 150/45TR

Pylontech UP5000

Colour Control GX

Can you connect the GX device to a local LAN and then use the GX device to setup the inverter and MPPT via the GX device without having to use the VE.Direct to USB cable to setup the MMPT and the MK3 to USB for the inverter.

PS: Does Victron require a specific comms cable for the Pylontech UP5000.

Regards

Craig

The Bluesolar MPPT will require the VE.Direct-USB cable for initial configuration.
The MultiPlus could be configured using Remote VE.Configure via VRM, but the MultiPlus needs to be up and running in the system first and the parameters are likely to be incorrect at that stage, default battery charge parameters will be completely wrong for instance. Much better to use the MK3 dongle for configuration.

The cable between the batteries and the CerboGX is a specific one for the Pylontech batteries.
For UP5000 batteries they require the "Type A" cable. It is important to note which end of the cable goes to the battery and theCerboGX.
You can buy a Type A cable from Victron or you can follow the BMS cable manual including pinout table here:

Have a read theough the Pylontech manual if you have not done so already:
