ESS 1Ph on a 3Ph Grid Connection - Energy flows not stacking up - Phase compensation playing up ?

Hi everyone,

I commissioned a first ESS system (1xMulti 3kVA on a 3Ph grid connection) a few days ago and cannot make sense of some VRM readings. I am a newbie to it and would appreciate your valuable insights.

For instance at night (see attached) I consume 63W on L1 and 10W on L3 that is 73W total consumption. Battery is discharging at 74W. I can live with the 1W discrepancy.

However, why am I drawing 9W from the grid ?

Another example during the day, early morning, consuming 68W on L1, 10W on L3 and 10W for charging the battery, so 88W in total. I produce 83W with PV so net difference of -5W. Why do I draw 33W from the grid ?

Last example, in the evening, I consume 3234W on L1. Battery is discharging at 2672W. So a net difference of 562W.

Q1: why does the battery not allow more power out ?

Q2: why do I draw 774W from the grid instead of the 562W ?

Thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration,

There are always losses when converting Energy from AC to DC and back ...
The more current flows, the higher the losses.

Actually everything looks good
