New regulation: Active power setpoint – How to implement externally controlled zero export with ESS

Just a quick note again: I’m from Austria, in the NetzNÖ (EVN) supply area.

My Fronius is connected to AC-Out1, with the country code set to Austria. A few weeks ago, I noticed that the charging voltages for my Pylontech batteries (15S!) behaved unusually in off-grid mode, with spikes of over 56 V being produced — not exactly safe for the cells. After a phone call with an acquaintance, I changed the grid code set on the Fronius Symo 5.0-3-M from Austria to MG50. The spikes have not occurred since.

Is there an explanation for this? If the country code is set to MG50 AND the Fronius is connected to the AC-Out of the three-phase Victron system, with its country code set to AT, is that acceptable to the utility?

Does this also apply to Fronius inverters? What, then, is the purpose of point 4.3.14 in the ESS manual, which I quoted above? To me, the text means that when AUX1 is activated, the Fronius is throttled via TCP Modbus. Or is dennibu or ferdi correct in saying that there is no communication in this regard between the MultiPlus units and the Cerbo?

If this is indeed the case, I consider it a serious shortcoming in the software …

Unfortunately, I still haven’t had a chance to test this. The batteries are still being charged at the moment, and unfortunately it is too cloudy.
