Configuring VICTRON from lead acid to lithium batteries

I have a VICTRON MultiPlus -II installed on boat for 2 years. I changed out my existing 200 amp hour lead acid to Renogy Lithium Iron Deep Cycle 200 amp hour batteries. I thought there were dip switches to configure to Lithium but the best info I could find was to hook up to lap top and configure it there. Does anyone have experience doing this and could you explain process and how to connect VICTRON to lap top. VICTRON MultiPlus-II/12/120 Thanks

Ken

The configuration options are in the manual.

The most used configuration method for your scenario is veconfigure with a MK3-usb interface.

Here is a video by victron explaining the basic process.

If the unit is standalone you need a Mk3 to USB dongle or if you have a GX device you can do this via the internet. Use either of the options below, detailed instructions in the links.

  1. A smartphone using the VictronConnect app with a Mk3 USB interface between the phone and the Quattro.
  2. A PC/laptop using the VE Configure program with a Mk3 USB interface between the PC/laptop and the Quattro. I am not sure if VictronConnect on a PC/laptop can work like this or not, I believe it should but I have not used this method.
  3. A PC/laptop using the VE Configure program through a GX device if you have one connected to the Quattro and the internet. This is VE Remote Configure.
