I am an inland boater on the UK canal and river network and have carried out a lot of DIY work on my previous boat. My current boat is a new build with complete Victron power system so I have less scope for DIY. I am a retired Chemical Engineer by profession so although not having an electrical background, current flow in wires follows many of the same principles as fluids in pipes.
