where can i get a firmware file to update this device?

There's some discussion of actually how to do it here.. https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/19959/how-to-update-multi-since-it-is-unrelated-to-the-v.html Look to the links offered.

Yours is the older microprocessor, and I think you'll need to use VE.Flash and the MK2/3 adapter. But I'm not the one to advise on this, so maybe you could say what you have, and somebody more familiar with the older units can help..
